COMPANY CONSCIENCE

m. clifford
Charlotte handbag designer and company owner, Martha Clifford, has generously made a donation to the Charlotte affiliate of Dress for Success. Her company, M. Clifford Designs, donated over 40 handbags to the organization that “helps disadvantaged women take charge of their lives.” The organization provides professional wardrobe to women for interviews leading to potential job offers and provides a few outfits for work after the job acceptance.

Dress for Success is only one of the organizations that has received donations from M. Clifford Designs. The other charitable organizations include the American Cancer Society and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Clifford feels that as a business owner, it is important to give back to the community that supports her business.

M. Clifford Designs has been in existence since 2003. The company began by making handmade handbags so-well crafted that the bags looked professionally manufactured. Clifford decided, after the demands for these bags became overwhelming, to have them manufactured in New York.

Clifford’s designs can be found in boutiques in Florida, New York and California. Her designs can, also, be found at Coco Fleur boutique located in Charlotte, NC and at Heyward & Hanna boutique in her hometown of Florence, SC.
