Martha Clifford, the North Carolina based designer of the ultra-chic M Clifford handbag collection has always been inspired by high fashion and luxe materials.  At a young age her mother taught her that she could possess something truly unique and one-of-a-kind simply by designing it herself.  As a result, she learned how to sew and indulged her creative side through designing and making clothes.

In 2000, she sold her successful catering business and got back to what she truly loved: fashion.  Her passion for fine Italian leathers led to the creation of a small group of handbags that were immediately snapped up by friends and family.  When the demand became even greater, Martha realized she was onto something and from there she developed a full-fledged collection, which she began producing in New York City.

Each M. Clifford bag boasts the designer's keen attention to detail and singular “effortless chic” aesthetic.  Beautiful and elegant, these bags are constructed using the softest, most supple leathers and yet they are also highly functional with inside zippered pockets and compartments.  From fabulous hobo styles in a range of textures and skins to classic carry-all styles, there is truly something for every uber-stylish woman.
